What a whirlwind weekend!
The kitchen painting is done! We finished that up on Friday night. Other progress made on the kitchen includes the cabinets being cleaned inside and out (thanks to Brad's momma!), the rack where the toaster oven once resided has been removed, and the microwave/hood above the stove is also gone. Tonight we're going to run up to Sears and get a new one and get that installed. We're also going to FINALLY move our stuff into the kitchen so it can be functional! Yea!
The great room is painted. Jenn and Sean did a bang up job on painting that room. Sean found ways to get to those hard-to-reach places that I would never have attempted. But, it looks amazing! My coworker came and relieved me of the bookshelves and will come for the cabinet this week. It's definitely coming together! Also, we had enough of the two browns left over to paint the hallway as well! So now that has a little color too!!

The guest room is completely stripped of wallpaper (Brad headed up the stripper crew and they did an amazing job!). The walls have also been completely cleaned of the glue and grossness that was left behind (way to go Parents!), so it's ready to be painted!
The main bathroom is stripped too. Unfortunately, we ran into the same problems we did in the kitchen - the wall came away with the paper, so I have to do some scraping and puttying. Good thing we're experts now!

Little by little we're getting there. We still have all of the "big" stuff to move, but most of the "little" stuff is at the house.
A HUGE thank-you to our amazing friends who gave up most of their Saturday to help us out. You guys REALLY made a difference!
We received a "welcome" from one of the little neighbor girls this weekend. We're stripping away wallpaper, covered in goo (and paint) and the doorbell rings. Puzzled, I answer the door, and there's little Jenny with fresh brownies (they were still warm!). They were yummy.

Our neighbors are great. They've let us borrow stepstools, ladders, and shopvacs. I love our neighborhood. I can't wait to get to know them all better!!!

Looks great. You guys are doing well. Soon you will have more done than we do after 3 years.
I'm so pumped for you guys. I love watching the progress!
