I know, I'm a slacker

I've received comments from a few folks (I am still amazed people actually read this thing) about my lack of updates for awhile.

Truth is...since the housewarming party, we haven't done a whole lot except enjoy the house (which is what I'm told we're supposed to be doing!!). Not to say we haven't done anything.

The yard has been the ongoing project. And I'm told we've made good progress on it from our neighbors. Most of the yard credit goes to Brad. He dug up all but one of those crazy amazon grasses and has been very diligent about mowing the yard (I took a stab at it....meh. I'd rather pay the boy down the street $10). I've been heading up weeding duty. Maybe in the fall when things cool down we'll do a few things to the front to enhance its curb appeal. We mostly wanted to get through the summer to see what was really dead, near dead, or just in hibernation.

Also, we're inheriting some new toys for the basement (which are coming today). Even though we're in no way ready to finish it, I think there are a few things we can do to make it feel a little less like a cave.

As things continue to progress, I'll try to be more diligent about writing. I owe you pictures of the master bath and yard.

Brad's already reported back to school, so the roller coaster starts again!
